Responsibilities

  • • Own environment parity and networking foundations
  • • Harden CI/CD and release gates with engineering
  • • Instrument services for latency, errors, and saturation
  • • Document runbooks and hand over ownership deliberately

Required skills

  • • Cloud fundamentals on AWS and/or Azure
  • • Containers and CI/CD
  • • Infrastructure as code
  • • Incident-minded communication

Preferred skills

  • • Kubernetes
  • • Cost governance
  • • Security baselines

What success looks like

Environments are IaC-defined; cutovers are waved with rollback; dashboards answer the questions operators actually ask.
